Nonlinear Parametrization Study On The Art Of Architectural Space Modeling

Nonlinearity:Nonlinearity stems from nonlinear science that is also called complex science, which is totally different from modern classic linear science originated from Newtonian Principle. It is able to explain the dynamic、irregular、self-organized and imbalanced phenomenon reasonably. That is a brand new theory for human beings to get knowledge of nature and society.Meanwhile, the Building World has also undergone a series of earth-shaking changes and come into being the coexistence of various concepts, ending the dominance of modernism. That coincides with the nonlinearity, which exchanges in the spatial and temporal space, self-organize in complex, reveals aesthetic principles. All of those have renewed the architectural design. With this background, this paper attempts to analyze the production mechanism of lots of modern cutting-age architect phenomena, and summaries and analyze the combine of nonlinearity and architect design, then tries to explore how to play the positive factors.This paper, firstly, describes the related concepts of nonlinear parametric design, and then introduces the motivation of the nonlinear parametric architect design and its impact of ideological foundation so that explores the physical characteristics of the nonlinear architectural space design and the philosophy and development basis. According to related cases, this paper illustrates the nonlinear parametric expression and its logical frame. Finally, this paper discusses the design methods of nonlinear parametric architect and summaries its plastic arts. This paper starts from the basis of nonlinearity, and then describes the core content of nonlinearity, and gives a brief review of the architectural inherent nonlinearity genes and the combination course of nonlinearity and architect design. Based on the domestic and foreign contemporary researches on nonlinearity、chaotic and fractal, etc, the main part of this paper exhibits the morphological characteristics and the expression characteristics of the architects in detail, so that concludes the nonlinearity thinking in architect design. In the end, this paper analyzes the actual cases to explore the expression of architect space in nonlinear thinking.
