This paper has established a common-type vehicle dynamics model that can simulate locomotive or high speed train based on SIMPACK software. It is found that this model can describe dynamic response characteristic of the traction gear system vibration more realistic than the common-type vehicle dynamics model which without considering the drive system dynamic characteristic,the model also can simulate the influence on bogies’ or carbody’s vibration by the gear system vibration and the traction torque fluctuation. And using the model to analysis the effect of the dynamic characteristic of CRH2drive system on bogies’ or carbody’s vibration.During the operation of vehicle, the actual output torque of motor is exist the fluctuation in a certain extent inevitably. In the previous studies,it is rarely mentioned that whether torque fluctuation will have significant influence on the vehicle dynamics performance. This paper will study it in depth and focus on the influence of motor torque fluctuation on the dynamic characteristic of bogies and carbody.This paper has established the analytical model of longitudinal-vertical vibration in bogies,and developed analytical procedure that can resolve the system vibration response quickly and stably based on this model. The analytical model has many functions, such as it can random or cycle track irregularity,it also can set mass-imbalanced wheelsets arbitrarily and initial phase of periodic imbalanced force. The program also can evaluate the mass undered wheelsets and the suspension parameters influence on the transfer rules by longitudinal-vertical vibration in bogies. The model and the program have been verified,and the calculation results are the same with the results which based on multi-body dynamic software and the results of reference. Based on the analytical procedure, this paper also calculate and analysis the vehicle system response characteristic of variable stiffness traction links and constant stiffness traction links,and in the end analysis the imbalanced wheelsets influence on the smoothness of vehicles.
