There are so many deformations which are generally safe in the nature, but it also can lead to disaster which caused great economic losses to human society when the deformations exceed a certain threshold value. Deformation overrun situation is likely to be found due to the chronicity, complexity, and instability of foundation pit engineering during the process of foundation pit construction. So it is necessary to implement in the process of foundation pit excavation deformation monitoring of the distance to reduce or avoid the happening of this kind of situation.This paper is based on the project of the deformation of Ningbo railway station reconstruction. WebGIS and RIA technologies are stated in the paper, which combined with ArcGIS Server and grey forecasting model to monitoring data display, analysis and forecast. Then a deformation monitoring WebGIS system based on RIA is built. The main research contents and research results are as follows:(1) Deformation monitoring method and processing theory are stated firstly, and then the examples of deformation monitoring combined with GIS at home and abroad are studied in the paper.(2) The paper discussed the content of the foundation pit monitoring, including the horizontal displacement, subsidence and supporting axial force monitoring, which laid the foundation for building this system.(3) WebGIS technology theory which included the WebGIS technique principle, characteristics, key technologies and implementation methods are expounded. RIA is compared with traditional Web applications. The difference between different RIA technology and features is stated. The characteristics of the Rest architecture, implementation process and examples by ArcGIS Rest API are introduced in the paper. The system which included system overall design, database design and function design is designed after doing a lot of preparation. The data import module, the GIS function module and the data analysis module is developed based on the system design. (4) A deformation monitoring WebGIS system based on RIA is developed by ArcGIS Server、ASP.NET and ArcGIS API For JavaScript which realized the integrated management of monitoring data, the query analysis and early warning monitoring. And the function of comparison analysis and forecast analysis is provided in additional.
