Gear box has the advantages of the fixed transmission ratio, large drive torque andcompact structure, etc., and has become one of the key driving parts of the mechanicalequipment. For example, its operability, transmission property and safety has a directinfluence on the overall performance of a car, Therefore,Carrying out the research on thestate detection and fault diagnosis of gearbox, is an important way to improve the equipmentoperation reliability and prevent accidents, which has important practical significance onensuring safety in production and economic development.Vibration signal is the carrier of gearbox fault features, fault detection method based onvibration analysis has been widely used. This paper took focus on the vibration signal andfinally developed the gearbox fault detection system, the main work is as follows:The gearbox typical fault vibration signal of time-frequency domain features is investigatedfrom the research of gear box multiple fault type and its mechanism Based on this,combining with the virtual instrument technology, the test platform for the gearbox faultdetection system was built with the PCI1712data acquisition module.Combing with gear box fault characteristics, power spectrum and cepstrum, envelopedemodulation, wavelet analysis signal processing methods has been applied to the analysis ofvibration signals; the perporties of corresponding signal analysis program and the real-timedata acquisition, signal storage, fault diagnosis has been developed Using LabVIEW virtualsoftware.as well as,For the convenience of gear box fault diagnosis data management, adatabase management module for gearbox fault diagnosis system was developed.Finally, performance of this system was tested to verify the corresponding diagnosticprocedures.This paper has given the gear vibration test and analysis of examples, got someexperimental analysis results, preliminary revealed the gear vibration signal characteristics ofgear fault diagnosis.Through the analysis of the testing data,gear box fault diagnosis systemcan meet the engineering application.
