The RC frame shear wall structure with special shaped column, which is one ofmainly promoted form in the future small high rise residential, will have a broadprospects for development. However, compared with the rectangle column, specialshaped columns section is sensitive to the direction of the seismic action degree, thedesign level and the construction technology are not very mature yet, which makes thespecial shaped column is relatively conservative in terms of use. In view of thesequestions, according to a12layer small high rise residential building as a researchobject, this paper taked advantage of finite-element method analytical softwareANSYS to make dynamic analysis on this building, mainly for the following aspects:First of all, based on the codes of our country, the paper used ANSYS to make theRC frame shear wall structure with special shaped column models. Using the practicalengineering as a reference model, the paper made9kinds of different models aboutdifferent floor thickness, different shear wall structure thickness and differentwidth-depth ratios in special shaped columns, and then made comparde to the parcticalengineering about the massive endogenic forces and the displacement anslyses.Secondly, conducting the modal analysis and the spectrum analysis to the9kindsof frame shear wall structure of special shaped column, the struture mode of vibration,period, frequency and maximum displacement are obtained through the modal analysis;and then making spectrum analysis on each of9kind of models under the respectivevibration frequency, the paper got the results of story drift and interlayer displacementangle of each model, provided some reliable reference data for structure design.Finally, based on the referenced model, the paper rebuilt two models: frame short-limb shear wall structure of special shaped column and rectangle column. In thetwo models the areas of cross section in the rectangle and special-shaped columns areequal and through changing the model of angle, the paper made the two structures bearthe the horizontal seismic loading in the direction of45degree. Importing three kindsof waves, the paper did dynamic analysis and compared the results of story drift,interlayer displacement angle, nodal displacement and stress, analysised deformationbehaviours and internal force distribution characteristics of the two structures underseismic action.
