With the problem of energy dilemma becoming increasing critical, the research ofheat transfer enhancement becomes more and more significant. And so far, there aremany methods of enhancing heat transfer, such as the fins, vortex generators and so on,but the research of the convection of the groove slab was less. This paper focuses on thebasic research of heat transfer enhancement of the grooving slab under the condition oflarge temperature difference, using both of experiment and numerical simulation.Firstly, a test-bed for studying the heat transfer of the flow along a flat plate wasset up by this paper. The flow speed of0.4Ma is supplied by this test-bed, and for theexperiment of convective heat transfer of large temperature difference, the test sectionof the test-bed was transformed into a kind of heating equipment, which can heat thesample to500℃and supply the power of4kW. Before the experiment, thethermocouple was calibrated and the emissivity of the plats in all kinds of conditionswas also measured. Following the measurements, the experiments of convection heattransfer of smooth plate and two kinds of plate with grooves in different flowspeed(10.2m/s~32.9m/s) and temperature difference(30℃~380℃) was experimented,and at last the coefficient of convection heat transfer was obtained.Secondly, all kinds of condition of the experiment was numerically simulated.Using the business software of Fluent, the plats’ convection heat transfer of fluid-solidinteraction was numerically simulated by this paper. In this work, both the local andmean convection heat transfer coefficients were obtained. And a few of empiricalcorrelations was used to calculate the coefficients of convection heat transfer of plate,and compared with the results of experiment and simulation.All the results of coefficients of the plat, includes the experiments, the simulation,the empirical correlations and the correction in the condition of large temperaturedifference, were compared in this paper. And the results indicated that the results ofexperiments was greater, the simulation was smaller, and the results of differentempirical correlations also has the difference.For the convection of groove slab, the local convection heat transfer coefficientsobtained by the simulation were compared and analysed at first, and which indicatedthat the local coefficient of the back of the groove is the greatest.. And the meanconvection heat transfer coefficients of groove slab and plate were compared, whichobtained that the convection of the groove slab is greater than the plats, and about7.8%~18.9%.
