The concrete filled steel tubular structure has been widely used in high-rise buildings. Inthe design of concrete filled steel tubular structure, column base joint design is an importantpart. Existing column base joint form can’t meet the needs of high-rise concrete filled steeltubular structure, and there are still many problems remain to be solved in the practicalapplication of the punching failure mechanism, failure pattern, influencing factors of bearingcapacity and bearing capacity calculation formula of embedded concrete filled steel tubularcolumn base joint.In this paper, the embedded concrete-filled steel tubular column base joint with shearring is selected based on the test.Using the finite element analysis software ansys, a columnbase joint finite element model which is the same to the test specimens was established alongwith selecting the unit type of the model, setting up real constant, defining material properties,determing all parameters of the finite element analysis according to performance of thecolumn base joint model, setting up constraints and solving Settings. The validity of the finiteelement model of column base joints were proved by comparing results of finite elementanalysis and test.On this basis, this article established110finite element models through the change ofshearing ring diameter, number of settings, setting position, respectively to study the influenceof shear ring diameter, number of settings, setting position of column base joint to bearingperformance under vertical axial compression load. The finite element analysis results showedthat welding shearing ring on the outer wall of steel tubular column can effectively improvethe cutting resistance of column base joint. A certain range, with the increase of shearing ringdiameter or number of settings of column base joints, the punching shear bearing capacity isalso increasing. The influence of setting position of shearing ring to bearing capacity ofcolumn base joints is not obvious. With the increase of setting position, bearing capacity willbe slightly improved. Finally, by using of mathematical software1stopt for numericalsimulation, the bearing capacity formula of the embedded concrete-filled steel tubular columnbase joint with shear ring is recommended.
