The safety of overall structure is determined by the foundation settlement. Development ofsocial production and expand of people transforming surrounding environment, force people tomodify some past backfilling area; especially for reconstructing some old mining area, backfillsoil layer is deep, It is making extremely difficult to design the basic layout of the building. Inengineering design, a variety of reasons make the foundation settlement calculation results tooconservative, and make originally simple-to-handle foundation apply expensive treatmentmeasures; Besides, since mining area backfill soil layer is very deep and partial difference isobvious, the actual settlement greatly deviate from the design values, hence successfulexperience in similar engineering design could not be copied; In order to solve the aboveproblem scientifically, to achieve a certain economic benefits and ensure reliable safety, here Iput forward a set of methods based on early construction observation to calculate finalsettlement. This method is suitable for the cases of foundation instability, compression layer notuniform and inaccurate geological exploration report; providing decision-making basis foradjusting design and avoiding risk.In this paper, taking the under construction project of Shen Dong mining area professionalservice center as a reference, aiming at the settlement problem of field deep backfill soilfoundation, the paper adopts normative method, limited compression layer deep backfillfoundation model, and the ANSYS finite element analysis to establish the constitutive model ofsoil under the foundation of simulation methods of foundation settlement, but there was acertain error compared with the value of preparation observation; therefore concluded that onlyby theoretical analysis, even if very accurate method can not accurately solve the problem ofbackfill soil settlement; So the paper proposed to use construction settlement observation valuesin the process of deep backfill soil to calculate final settlement of construction. This methodshould be more close to reality, and simpler; due to inhomogeneous backfill soil, this methodusing observation value must be field observations, and should not be replaced between adjacent buildings. The method can calculate the load-settlement curve of deep backfill soil onbuilding, And the current development trend of the floor under the settlement, the settlementand the time of the empirical formula and predict the final settlement. The calculated resultsshow that settlement through surface change after the filling process of deep backfill soil iswithin the scope of design, structural settlement meets the design safety requirements, providesan efficient and reliable decision basis to avoid risk.In engineering design, in-advance forecast and properly consideration of foundationsettlement deformation, availably control and use of future ground deformation, can effectivelyprevent adverse effects caused by foundation deformation in special geological conditions, andensure its deformation range is within control. This paper aims to use the analysis and researchof the construction example, to provide the decision basis for adjusting design and avoidingrisk, also provide technical information for the deep research of backfill soil, and play a positiverole in the forecast of problem and safety of built construction settlement.
