The research of situation analysis for radio electromagnetic environment plays a decisiverole in the field of wireless communications. In order to make radio spectrum resourcesmanaged and used reasonably and efficiently, we should accurately describe the radioelectromagnetic environment situation. It provides data support for radio management, suchas planning and management of the station, link budget, frequency domination, interferenceanalysis, and so on.The study of the electromagnetic environment situation is, through studying radio wavepropagation path loss model, correcting the suitable model of selected areas to predict theradio coverage situation of the areas more accurately. In different electromagneticenvironments, it is the premise of the situational analysis of the electromagnetic environmentthat choosing the appropriate propagation model to correct and calculate, according to theproperty of the propagation and the characteristics of the wireless channel. In this paper, themodel correction method based on the known receiver is put forward, that a large number ofmonitoring and receiving points are set in the test area of the electromagnetic environment.Based on a premise of known transmit, the factors of the radio path loss model (C.Y.Leemodel) are calibrated according to the actual test data. Then the electromagnetic situation,whose frequency and area are designated, is estimated. Finally the degree of accuracy of themodel, which is calibrated through the actual test, is verified and assessed.In this paper, based on the simulation and analysis of the macrocell propagation model,the propagation model is corrected by the test data from three typical area, which are denseurban, urban and suburban. A suitable propagation model for the region is selected and thepredicted values from the corrected model are compared with the actual test data. Based onthe accuracy of the propagation model, the software of situation analysis system of theelectromagnetic environment is designed and tested. Finally, the application and expansion ofthe system are introduced. This paper achieves a simulation of the situation of the radioelectromagnetic environment of selected area, through the study, calibration and evaluation ofthe path loss model.
