In Mechanical transmission, the standard gear has a number of advantages of simpledesign, good interchangeability, but it has great limitations to improve the performance ofgear. So the involute shifted gear has applied widely.Comparing to the standard gear, themodified gear has more advantages. It could improve the the pinion tooth root strength, fit thecenter distance, repair the used gear, and so on.So it is very necessary and meaningful toresearch shifted gears. In this paper, I analysed the gear strength in the method ofcomputer-aided design/analysis, based on the precise shape of the modified gear parametric. For givivng full play to the advantages of digital technology data low cost, high efficiency, high precision, it more significantly improvs the accuracy of the modified gear strengthanalysis. The thesis has three important parts:(1) Establish the three-dimensional solid model of the bevel x-gear with Pro/ENGINEER, then import the model after appropriate simplification into ANSYS for finiteelement analysis. In the Pro/ENGINEER software you can only need to modify thecorresponding parameter to build a new model, the parameters of the mode provides the basisfor l the next finite element analysis of bevel x-gear.(2)Through the static force analysis of the bevel x-gear with ANSYS, comparing withthe theoretical tooth root bending strength. With different modification coefficient, we canget the tooth root bending stress graph, and the curves of the tooth root bending strengthchanging with the modification coefficient.(3) Through modal analysis of bevel x-gear with ANSYS, the working condition of thegear structure is changing, dynamic, due to the vibration characteristics of the structuredetermines the response of the structure for a variety of dynamic loads, so before inpreparation for other power analysis modal analysis is first. Bevel gears of the drive systemof the displacement excitation frequency lower than the natural frequency of vibration of thesystem, no sympathetic vibration occurs.
