The problems about the water supply&drainage and fire-fighting in rural areashave caught the eyes of all aspects of the society. The water quality worsening and fireaccidents happen frequently because some of the highly polluting industry moving torural areas. How to change the present status of the water supply&drainage andfire-fighting in rural areas, ensure the water security, protect the rural water environmentand the residential life and property security, has become an urgent problem to beresolved.As rural households are widely distributed in our country, evident north-southdifferences were also found. And plains, hills and mountains have their owncharacteristics. This article selected the plain area of southern China as study area. Thecharacteristics of the study area were got through the survey on decentralized ruralwater supply&drainage and fire-fighting System in the Plain Area of Southern China.Based on the characteristics and current situation of decentralized rural area ofsouthern China, this article is mainly research on the rural water supply, the collectionand treatment of the sewage, the fire-fighting programmer. Through extensiveinvestigation, residential water consumption of the plain area of southern China wasdetermined, optimization on water supply system in rural single family dwelling insouth China were proposed to ensure the water security and reduce the waste of water.Study on rural domestic wastewater treatment and fire-fighting by using the US andJapan’s experience. The results shown that:1) The water quota of the study area wasabout130~150L/d; Charge helps water saving, which is ladder-like water pricing;problems existing in the usage of this water supply system, including water quality,water quantity, water pressure and piping materials, were analyzed, and thecorresponding solutions to these problems were proposed.2) Combining with thetopographical conditions and the characteristic of village distribution, the rural sewagecan be collected by single-household or multi-household, also the sewage treatment.3)The countryside fire was mainly induced by electricity and carelessly using fire. Inorder to solve the problem of countryside fire-fighting, there can be changed from twoaspects: technology and management.A detailed program is proposed through the research on the rural water supply, thecollection and treatment of the sewage, in order to provide reference in rural planning and the old villages rebuilding, realizing the object of common prosperity in our country,which is accord with the study area.
