Slope stability problems in open-pit and underground united mining are hot issues, this paper which is based on Zijinshan gold and copper mine as an engineering example, studied the property of overlying rockand rock slope stability states in open-pit and underground united mining with different mining methods bynumerical simulation, the main results are as follows:(1) Application of discrete element modeling method to research the overlying rock and subsidence-slippage characteristics of rock slope when using cavingto handle goaf in open pit and underground united mining. And studied slope rock steady state, gave result that rock slope is unstablewhich is unable to ensure safe production.(2) For filling goaf mining method in underground mining, systematicallysimulatedoverlying rock damage property under space dimensions different mining conditions, studied the characteristics of dynamic rock slope and evolution mechanism in underground mining process, hereby established a three-dimensional model of underground mining subsidence and horizontal movement model.(3)"Five-zone"zonation theory of overlying rock in open-pit and underground united mining is given by research of overlying rock characteristics change in different stages of open-pit and underground united mining, which are slope slip band, curved sink zone, like continuous zone hinged belt zone and block caving zone based on slip field theory, rock mechanics andfractal rock theoretical approach, each of band determination method was given; establishment of three dimensionsoverlying rock band model.(4) According to the impact ofmain controlling cross-section of each side and distribution of geology conditions and different stages in Zijinshan gold and copper mine.Slip field theory is applied to calculate slope stability coefficient of main controlling cross-section, and slope controlling measures are proposed.
