Our country is in a critical period of rapid development of marketeconomy and the transformation, how the rich diversity of marketeconomy, promote product sales and circulation, become the focus ofattention. Children with a large population in our country, thechildren’s food and children’s daily life indispensable one kind ofconsumables, its market will be more and more broad, its packing isimportant factors to attract children or their parents to buy, and thepackaging graphic design is the most key factors can directly affecttheir consumption psychology.In this paper, starting from the particularity of children’s foodpackaging, discussed its color demands pure clear, graphics, richinteresting and novel and unique appearance requirement, anddiscuss its safety and the characteristics of humanization, etc; Foodpackaging were summarized in the aspects of health, safety andhealth requirements and related laws and regulations. On this basis,from its relationship with the social cultural environment, and itsimpact on children’s consumption psychology and children’s foodmarket, such as Angle of the particularity of children’s foodpackaging graphic design was conducted in-depth study; Accordingto China’s social, economic, the overall level of career development, and common culture background of Chinese society, on the basis ofthe physiological and psychological characteristics of children ofdifferent ages in China, children can be divided into0to3years old(baby), aged4to8(early childhood) and9-12phase (children) and soon three stages; Based on the characteristics of children’s physicaland psychological development, and the three points for children agesdifferent consumer psychology has carried on the detailed analysis,and the corresponding phase of children’s food packaging graphicdesign requirements and specific characteristics were studied.This paper analyzes the children’s food packaging graphicaccurate, personalized and unique, and three principles such asregional and cultural limitations; Discusses the specific constructionform of children’s food packaging graphic, summarizes thecharacteristics of its vivid, intuitive, and discussed its including color,content, and decoration, the three main elements, analyzes its sign,specific graphic symbol and metaphor, abstract graphics, such as avariety of expression; On the basis of above, the first time put forwardthe general methods of children’s food packaging graphic design,namely "the product positioning, market research-consumerpsychology analysis-graphic design-modification and perfection"design method and train of thought; To general method as theinstruction, from product positioning, different age stages of theproduct and its packaging graphic design, market reaction, etc.,common to the market nestle each age stage child milk powderpackaging graphic design case analysis, aiming at the particularity ofchildren’s food packaging graphic is verified, the different agechildren’s consumption psychology and the corresponding graphic design idea, etc and its correctness and rationality of the results ofthe research, at the same time put forward by this paper is verified thepracticability of children’s food packaging graphic design method.Based on the development trend of the market economy as thebackground, guided by the modern graphic design developmentdirection, and the development trend of children’s food packaginggraphic design was discussed.
