Opencast coal mining will result in the loss of soil organic carbon pool. Landreclamation can restored soil carbon sequestration ability. Studying on the carbonsequestration ability of reclamation land under different reclamation models, we canaccumulate scientific data for understanding the ecological effects of land reclamation,thus provide theoretical basis and guidance for improving land reclamationtechnology. Take the reclaimed soil in Antaibao opencast mine for example in thispaper, we analyzed the soil (0~100cm) organic carbon content, soil organic carbondensity, soil organic carbon pool storage and soil properties of three sample land withdifferent reclamation model, such as locust×elm×Ailanthus mixed forest, poplarforest and locust forest. Then taking no reclaimed plot and the poplar original plot ascontrol, to study the effects of different land reclamation models on soil organiccarbon pool, and analysis the influence of soil properties to soil organic carboncontent, evaluate the soil quality, summarizes the most suitable reclamation model forthe Antaibao opencast mine. The results of this study are as follows:(1)There is a highest soil organic carbon content and density in surface soil(0~10cm) of original landform plots and reclamation plots, then showed a fluctuationdecrease trend with soil depth increased. As the no reclaimed plot has just finishedpile cushion level, its soil organic carbon content and density showed irregular changein the soil profile. Through reclamation, the soil organic carbon storage of reclamationplots has increased, and far higher than no reclaimed plot, some reclaimed plots evenhigher than the original landform plot. The order of soil organic carbon storage is themingled forest with locust×elm×Ailanthus of SⅢ>1330platform with poplarforest> SⅤwith locust forest.(2)The soil properties and soil organic carbon content of no reclaimed plotswere not significantly correlated. In other plots, total nitrogen content and available Kcontent had significant correlation with soil organic carbon content. Total nitrogencontent had positive correlation with soil organic carbon content. Only in the originallandform plot, the available phosphorus content and organic carbon content in soil were significantly correlated. The pH value showed significant negative correlationwith soil organic carbon content in the1330platform plot and SⅢ plot. Soil bulkdensity also had significant negative correlation with soil organic carbon content inthe SⅢ plot and SⅤplot. Total K had positive correlation with soil organic carboncontent in the original landform plot and SⅤplot.(3)The land quality comprehensive value of three reclamation plots are higherthan that of original landform plot and no reclaimed plot. The value of SⅤplot islowest, but of1330platform plot which was reclaimed by poplar forest is the highest.The value of0-40cm surface soil of the mingled forest with locust×elm×Ailanthusof SⅢ is slightly lower than the SⅤplot, but in the0-100cm depth, the land qualitycomprehensive value of SⅢ plot is higher than that of SⅤplot.(4)Comprehensive analysis, the effect of land reclamation on the restoration ofsoil carbon is obvious in Antaibao opencast mine. The soil organic carbon poolstorage of reclamation plots is much higher than no reclaimed plot. Among them, thesoil carbon sequestration ability of sample plot which reclaimed by locust×elm×Ailanthus mixed forest is the best, better than pure forest reclamation model.
