Along with the development of the economy and the progress of the society, the contradiction of human and land is intensified increasingly, land is the material basis for the survival. However, it appear the unreasonable phenomenon of land use around the world, which increase the degree of land use, the capacity of land bearing descend. Therefore, it is important to explore the man-land ecosystem through the change of land use in landscape scale and the correlation analysis of the status of ecological safety. The article take the middle and lower reaches of Hanjiang river as an example, and based on the statistical data about1996,2001,2006and2011, Landsat TM image data,, land use map and other conventional maps. The paper use ERDAS, ArcGIS, SPSS and excel, GS+, GEODA software to deal with the data, and using the correlation analysis model, including spatial autocorrelation analysis, regionalized variable, coefficient of variation and correlation analysis to analysis of the conjugate evolution law of land use, landscape pattern and ecological security in the research area. The main results of this study as follows:(1) according to the6scene TM images, we using the image fusion methods to obtain the four image data(1995,2000,2005,2010) in the study area. Combining with the previous research results of the study area and the actual situation, the image interpreted by ERDAS and research area can be divided into5km×5km grid cell by using ArcGIS software, then we can calculate the variation of the basic elements every unit grid in the study area, including land use, landscape pattern and ecological security, based on the results, we can calculate the bidirectional dynamic rate of change of land use,and the map of land use, landscape pattern, ecological safety and the bidirectional dynamic rate of change of land use.(2)In order to explore the conjugate evolvement rule of the LUCC, landscape pattern and ecological security. Firstly, this article analysis and discuss the spatial distribution characteristics, and using global spatial autocorrelation analysis tool of Arcgis software to analysis the spatial distribution characteristics in1995,2000,2005,2010, and analysis the whole spatial autocorrelation by Moran’s I. In addition, using Geoda software to analysis the local autocorrelation analysis (LISA) of evaluation factors and explore the correlation in local space.(3)The main results of this study as follows:(1) according to the6scene TM images, we using the image fusion methods to obtain the four image data (1995,2000,2005,2010) in the study area. This paper adopted the index of land use and landscape pattern and ecological safety which has an association with each other on geographical position, and it has a certain structural or randomness by using regionalized variables cloudy respectively space of statistical analysis. The half variation function model get by GS+software, then we using fitting half the variation function model for simple Kriging interpolation method to analysis spatial interpolation, receive the spatial distribution map of the intensity of land use, the landscape composite index and the ecological safety degree, in order to explore the spatial and temporal variation characteristics and the evolution law of the Hanjiang river basin in Hubei province. To explore the correlation of LUCC, landscape pattern and ecological security, the paper adopted correlation analysis and significance test by SPSS, and analysis the correlation from the aspects of time series and spatial sequence, investigate the correlation among the three index as a whole in the study area.
