Since the first organotin compound Et2SnI2was synthesized by frankland in1849,considerable research has been reached in this branch. With the deep research of organotin, more and more organotin compounds were found. The diversity of structure of organotincompounds provide more theoretical support for the development in industry, agriculture, andmedicine. And in organotin compounds, the research of organotin carboxylates compoundswere most deeply for its key role in pharmaceytical field. By reading literature and ourresearch, we found that there are rare organotin carboxylates compounds synthesized byorganic acid substances. So we choose some organic acid substances to study their reaction. This paper consists of4elements:1. Ligand HL1was prepared by the Diels-Alder reaction of phthalic anhydride withbenzene, anhydrous aluminum chloride has been used as catalyst. The self-assembly of HL1with diphenyltin oxide, di-n-butyltin oxide under reflux in toluene/ethanol (5:1) form two neworganotin carboxylates:[Ph2Sn(L12](1),{[n-Bu2Sn(L1)]2O}2(2).2. Ligand HL2was prepared by the Diels-Alder reaction of phthalic anhydride withtoluene in the exist of anhydrous aluminum chloride. The self-assembly of HL2withdiphenyltin oxide form one new organotin carboxylate:[PhSnO(L2)]6·4(Ph-CH3)(3).3. Ligand HL3was prepared by the Diels-Alder reaction of phthalic anhydride withethylbenzene, anhydrous aluminum chloride has been used as catalyst. The self-assembly ofHL3with diphenyltin oxide, di-n-butyltin oxide form two new organotin carboxylates:[PhSnO(L3)]6(4),{[n-Bu2Sn(L3)]2O}(5).4. Using Diels-Alder reaction of pyromellitic anhydride with toluene to prepare Ligands4,6-H2L and2,5-H2L, anhydrous aluminum chloride has been used as catalyst. The productswere then recrystallized from acetic acid. The self-assembly of2,5-H2L with diphenyltinoxide form one new organotin carboxylate:(Ph3Sn)2(2,5-L)(C2H5OH)2(6) and theself-assembly of4,6-H2L with diphenyltin oxide form one new organotin carboxylate:(Ph3Sn)2(4,6-L)(DMF)2(7).
