The ASP flooding technology is one of the considerable development prospect methods to dependable crop and replace for the old field and improve the oil recovery factor. People have already got some significant effects and appreciable economic returns of ASP flooding, and parts of research have been industrialized. However, there still have some problems and should be study much more deeply to solve them. For example, how to promote flooding principle inquiry process, which can affect the oil flooding efficiency, how to improve and optimize the various formulations of flooding agent, how to forecast residual oil or remaining oil, how to change composite system into weak alkali or alkali-free conditions, how to reduce the cost of ASP flooding, how to develop new low-cost surfactant, how to develop various methods for high relative molecular mass and salt tolerance polymer, how to retrofit injection mode and ground technology, and how to emulsion breaking, degreasing agent, dehydration for produced crude oil and so on. In summary, the ASP flooding technology would have a broader development prospects. It is useful to develop this research on various categories of domestic oil fields, and it is technical and economic and easily operated.However, the component of the heavy alkylbenzene is quite complex and the performance is not very stable because it is the subsidiary product of industrial product. The advantage of lower cost would lose if refining the raw material. Therefore, in order to obtain the tertiary oil recovery surfactant production that is high quality and low price for industrialization, improving the performance of the heavy alkylbenzene sulfonate from complex formulation is a good choice, which is simple, efficient, low cost and easy to spread.Several aspects that would be affect the product performance have been analyzed in this paper, such as producing process, raw material composition, reaction conditions, and system complex formulation of the flooding product of the heavy alkyl benzene sulfonate surfactant. Also the application of the production has been introduced briefly in Daqing Oilfield ASP experiment plots.
