The contemporary exploitation of the permeability of coal seam is a particularlypromising field both at fundamental and applied levels1, and great interest is triggeredin gas flow theory due to the developed experimental verification technology. Thepermeability of coal containing gas is an important index, reflected the difficulty levelof coal seam gas extraction drainage, it is also an important physical parameter forcoal seam gas field coupling. Recently, combined with the microstructure of the coal,and in consideration of a more complex condition from stress field effect, Based on alot of theoretical analysis and experiments, Scholars both at home and abroad haveachieved many valuable results on the coal seam gas flow theory.On the basis of the analysis of previous theory and experiment results, we set upan experimental platform for three axis permeability of coal seam to simulate theactual production environment of mine. After the analysis and measurement of micropore parameters, we test the permeability law of three kinds of coal sample containinggas, including hard and soft coal of Jiaozuo and soft coal of He bi. Comparison andanalysis the permeability contrast of molded coal and raw coal samples, and itsinternal causes are also considered. From a point of view that pore structure of coaland the relation on stress deformation, with the addition of various us hardness,degree of metamorphism, and the transformation of permeability under a loadingstrain process. Detailed experimental of gas permeability coefficient studiesemploying measurement in sampling mining area, with the attended of coalmetamorphism degree, mine pressure, etc. And we establish a predict relationshipbetween effective stress and the coefficient of permeability. Provide usefulexperiences and help for the mine gas control work.
