Under the pressures of market competition intensified and deteriorating globaleconomic situation, companies around the world are trying to find a method toimprove product quality and reduce production costs, in order to achieve excellence inproduction efficiency. With the gradual disappearance of the aura of low-costmanufacturing countries, domestic enterprises have been unable to rely solely on thecost advantages gained a lifeline in the competition. So companies began to chasenew business ideas and management methods. Lean Six Sigma is a managementapproach which combines the advantages of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma twooutstanding management methods. It focuses on the flow of the value of the entireprocess to eliminate waste; also concerned about the process capability of the specificvalue-added activities to reduce volatility. This paper focuses on the F Group MProducts Division on-site management and continuous improvement activities whichbased on Lean Six Sigma management methods.First, this paper introduced the concept, origin, characteristics and tools of leanmanufacturing and Six Sigma management, and discussed the relationship betweenthem and the necessity of the combination.Secondly, based on the production of the M Products Division. Described theproblem of productivity, product quality, delivery and cost control many aspects of theproduction site in the M Products Division, through the analysis identified the need toimprove the direction and goals.Finally, for the issue of on-site management of the F Group M Products Division,through data analysis, combined with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma managementtheory and tools selecting, through a series of initiatives and improvements to solvethe equipment production capacity, production line balancing, operation waste.The paper shows that the M Products Division according to their own reality,with the implementation of Lean Six Sigma management methods, the companyreached a series of targets for improvement to increase production capacity, reduceproduction costs, raise the level of personnel management and improve customersatisfaction.
