The Research On Urbanization Regional Disparities In Jilin Province

Process of Urbanization plays a decisive role in modernization inJilin province. The process of social economic development in Jilinprovince is facing a major problem involving agriculture, rural areas,farmers and towns. However, the phenomenon of uneven development ofregional urbanization in Jilin Province presents more and moresignificant trend, the gradual expansion of the Regional urbanizationdifference. Jilin Province have appropriate urbanization differences toproduce the combined effect of upgrading the level of regional economicdevelopment, but the difference is too is not conducive to long-termdevelopment of the regional economy, regional resources are not fullyutilized, regional development space becomes narrow. Jilin Provinceshould take appropriate measures to the balanced development of eastern,central and western urbanization.This paper analyzes urbanization in Jilin Province from twoaspects of the urbanization which are the population urbanization and landurbanization regional differences in Jilin Province comes to be obviousand this difference is in the trend of expansion, the uneven developmenttrend of regional urbanization the should be paid attention to.Furtherpolicy should be taken to coordinate development of urbanization in JilinProvince of eastern, central and western regions.The paper is divided into four parts, the first part deals withthe theory of cities, urbanization, population urbanization and landurbanization。 The second part describes the development status ofurbanization in Jilin Province and achievements and problems of urbanization. The third part of this paper uses relevant data ofpopulation urbanization and land urbanization in the Jilin Province,found that eastern, central and western regions of urbanizationdevelopment imbalances obviously in Jilin Province. Mainly using thelocation theory, growth pole theory, population migration theory,industrial structure theory to explain why there is an uneven developmentof regional urbanization in Jilin Province.The last Part of this paperdiscusses overlarge differences in Jilin Province have adverse impact.In order to ease over imbalanced differences of urbanization in JilinProvince.Paper proposes policy response including the development ofcounty economy to enhance the level of urbanization, strengthen JilinProvince Regional Economic Cooperation to enhance the Economic the levelof development in East and Western to drive the process of urbanization,to construct a reasonable Jilin Province urban system to balance andcoordinate development of urbanization in Jilin province.
