On a country’s economic and social development,entrepreneurial activities isvery important, it’s can promote regional economic growth and thus create a largenumber of new jobs. It’s now the era of knowledge economy, the state shouldimplement innovative business strategies, enhance economic vitality, must rely on alot of entrepreneurial innovation. Higher education students is an important potentialgroup of knowledge-intensive business, however, the actual start of college studentsand entrepreneurship compared to Western countries on behalf of the United States,the gap is very obvious. It’s need to actively guide and improve. Now, in the academic,the faceor of personality characteristics of college students that have a major impacton business behavior,the effects of their entrepreneurial motivation is still insufficient,but also the lack of entrepreneurial motivation affect the mechanism of empiricalresearch.This paper focuses on the "How the individual characteristics of College studentsaffect their entrepreneurial motivation," the basic research questions, In combing theliterature review and on the basis of constructed personality traits, entrepreneurialstart-efficacy and motivation of the research model, and obtained through aquestionnaire survey of258valid data, the use of factor analysis, multiple linearregression and other statistical methods of research hypothesis has been verified. Andwe study the mediating effect between the personality characteristics andentrepreneurial mtivations use the intermediary effect testing method described byZhonglin Wen.Study found that:(1) need for achievement, innovation, interpersonal skills,identify opportunities the ability to opportunity identification efficacy has asignificant positive impact;(2) risk preference, innovation, interpersonal skills, risktolerance-efficacy was significantly positive impact;(3) the opportunity to identifyrisk tolerance and efficacy of entrepreneurial motivation efficacy were significant positive impact..(4) There was no significant correlation between internal locus ofcontrol and the various dimensions of sele-efficacy.(5) Entrepreneurial self-efficacy ofthe personality characteristics and entrepreneurial motivations have some mediatingeffect.
