| At present, the urban sustainable development is becoming the upsurge of urbanstudies at home and abroad. Anshun as a typical western underdeveloped area, thecontradiction is very outstanding between city’s own conditions and development. Howto solve these problems, and without sacrificing environment resources under theprecondition of realizing urban development, that is an important topic to many citieswho are facing similar problems.Because of the urban sustainable development involves field too wide, so onlyselect a few important factors for Anshun development to discuss in this paper, strive toget the more thorough explanation. Selected the economic structure and developmentsituation of the industry as index in economic aspect; Selected social reform、population quality and urban spatial structure to describe social; Selected resources andenvironment protection as the index in ecological development. Based on the deepunderstanding of Anshun actual development situation, combined with the sustainabledevelopment theory and urban development strategy theory, analysis and discuess thedevelop conditions of Anshun centre on thses indexs, and put forward correspondingsolutions.
