In the current market environment, the focus of competition among enterprises has change from competition of the production differentiation into the completion of cost and efficiency. How to create more profits within the constraints of market and resources has became the key point to survival and development issues for every enterprise. The generation of continuous improvement management provides an effective tool to solve this problem. It helps enterprises taping new profit point and achieving sustainable development. Based on the theory of continuous improvement, this paper researches how to carry CI activists in enterprise.Aiming at the current situation of VW Company such as the limitation of equipment capacity and current funds, this paper conduct an research about the basic behavior of continuous improvement, evaluation of improve program and the process of continuous improvement activists.Establish a behavior model of continuous improvement, and descript the basic behaviors of CI from three aspects—Problems, Incentives to and Improve the tools. Through this model, the paper divides the develop process of CI ability in to several stages and analysis current state of VW’s CI ability. After the analysis, this paper proposes several methods to optimize VW’s CI system, and propose a three-stage improve process. Besides that, this paper proposes a Gray-AHP method to evaluation the effectiveness of improve programs.At last, set the ZP4 assembly line as example, this paper carry out a case study on how to conduct continuous improvement activities. And help the company improve the production output through optimize the Takt time and Balance rate. The results show that this three-stage improve process is feasibility and valuable.
