Along with the city’s modernization, the number of cars increased dramatically, whichprompts the parking lot to develop in the direction of large-scale and complexity. Atpresent, many of the traditional parking lots keep lighting for24hours in One day, whichresults in a lot of power wastage. In order to reduce energy waste in parking facilitates andto convenient the management of lamps, a pyroelectric infrared sensor-based parking lotintelligent light control system has been presented in this paper.This system combines the new technology of things-to-things network, the infraredsensor technology and the MCU control technology together to realize people/carreal-time positioning, lamp state (on/off) automation controlling, lights detecting andalarming based on location, parking lot real-time monitoring, and other functions. Itimproves parking lights control intelligence largely and reduces the electricityconsumption of the parking lot, there for makes a certain application prospects. The mainresearch work of this dissertation is as follows:1) In view of the parking lot passive locating characteristics, this paper analyse theadvantages and disadvantages of common locating methods, research how to make use ofpyroelectric infrared sensor to locate human body indoors.2) Setting up a ZigBee wireless sensor network, then research the ZigBee networkprotocol stack, and finally achieve data transmission based on ZigBee network.3) Hardware system of lights control is designed to control and check lampstate(on/off).4) Software monitoring system is built to analyse the sensor data, and monitor the stateof people/cars and lights in the parking lot in real-time through virtual physical scene.Finally, we select a parking lot,which is in the new campus of Hebei University ofScience and Technology, to test the system. The test results shows that the system canbetter realize the basic intelligent functions, such as locating people/cars, controlling lightson or off along with the movement of people/cars, detecting lights and alarming whensome destroyed lights checked.
