As is known to all, an American3D Hollywood blockbuster "avatar", was releasedin China in2010.The speed of money drawing is very amazing. This movie gets sohighincome that it has an inseparable relationship with the3D technology which is used inthe film. People are no longer surprised at the three-dimension log on the movie screen. This sufficiently shows that computer animation has penetrated into people’s lives. Atpresent,3D animation industry of computer is developing rapidly in China, andbecome the creative economy in the21st century’s industry.Computer three dimensional animation is a closely related to mathematics. Due tothe strong backing of mathematical theory, computer simulation of the virtual worldcan be as realistic as it is today. Mathematics occupies an important position both incomputer graphics and game development. Using the numerical solution method to theproblem of computational geometry is widely used in those who use a computer tosimulate the3d world. This article is to solve a real problem encountered in the process of making3Danimation through the mathematical method-the flight of bird visual effect. Byanalyzing and studying real birds and real birds’ flying wing model process, usingmathematical modeling and interpolation algorithm, we achieve more lifelike birdsflying visual effect so as to better application in video games, etc. The main work andresearch of this paper can be summarized as following:1.In order to achieve more realistic modeling of bird wings, we make a researchon real bird wings bone structure and arrangement of every bone in the feathers.2.The study of process of stretching and flapping of every bird wings’ bones isalso a focus in the study of this article. The change of real bird wings’ feathers is notlinear following the change of bones. So domestic cartoons relating to birds flying inthe scene are not realistic at present. In this paper, we study a kind of algorithm whichcan let animators control the process of birds’ flying more conveniently.
