With the growing popularity and diversification of Intelligent Network (IN) service, the scale of the network continues to expand, and the complexity of the network continues to increase. It has brought a lot of difficulties to the maintenance work of IN. Manually check of the equipment one by one would be a tedious, difficult, lengthy task for the maintenance personnel. It is very necessary and meaningful to develop an Auto Check System to improve the quality of system maintenance for the business system provider and also for users of the business system. In order to reduce the costs and risks, improve maintenance quality and efficiency, this paper proposed a new auto check subsystem based on the E-BUPT Operation and Maintenance System, which provides a new way for the operation and maintenance personnel to access the network and they could easily perform the periodic check, service system upgrade, netwok monitoring and network element management. This subsystem are of high flexibility and adaptability, and users could develop new-function rapidly. The first chapter of this paper introduces the concept of Intelligent Network and Mobile Intelligent Netwok, leads to Intelligent Network Management objects, as well as its presence in the functional entities. By analyzing the problems of efficiency, quality, safety and cost about checking operation, service upgrade and data processing efficiency, this paper introduced the new operation and maintenance system-E-BUPT Operation and Maintance System based on Common Network Element Agent (EB-OMS).The second chapter gives a general description of the overall design of the EB-OMS. EB-OMS is divided into WEB access subsystem, control center sub system and common network element agent. The control center subsystem is the core of the EB-OMS and it performs the main function of the whole system. Auto check subsystem is a logically divided system which is a main function of the system. Its main purpose is to achrive the auto-check flow to replace the backward inefficient traditional flow. The latter part of this chapter introduced the deployment of the EB-OMS and points out the position of the auto check subsystem in EB-OMS.The third chapter details the access subsystem design, system design principles and the main features describtion. Auto check subsystem achieved the most common used function that it needs to be well designed. This subsystem could be divided into three parts, the web access parts is the interface between the users and the sytem; the control center performs funtions including service ability management and auto-check; the common network element agent is responsible for collecting data from various service hosts and it is implemented with the "platform+plugin" software architecture. The chapter concludes with a list of key data structure with a brief introduction to them. The forth chapter decribes the key achrive of the auto check subsystem. First introduced the COPART-MACO (Component Package of Real-Time Application Process Management and Communication) which is a real-time management and communication components developed by Eastcom-BUPT Company. Then introduced the design and implementation of Common Network Element Agent, including plugin interface, file storage, plugin management, plugin scheduling, etc. The introduced how the agent regist to the control center and the details of service abilility management module and check configuration module. Finally introduced the design of check scheduling and data processing module. The fifth chapter describes the drawbacks of the auto check subsystem and the further work that could be done. Finally prospected its development trend.
