The Features Of Information Sharing For Social Networking Sites

With the rapid development of the Internet, people have access to the new network and information times. Internet has become an indispensable part of people’s lives and affected people’s lives greatly. Especially since the emergence of mobile Internet, people depend on the Internet more strongly. As an Internet user, one is not only a publisher or a receiver, but still these two roles combined almost no bounds. People communicate with each other mostly through the Internet. Social Network Sites are favored by people which were created based on real social relationships. On these Social Network Sites, the interaction of people more and more tend to the interpersonal communication in real life. On the Social Network Sites the mainly way for people’s interaction is information sharing. The process of information sharing is the process of communication.The study takes Renren for case, and the author analyses features of information sharing of the Social Network Sites on the view of communication. Renren is the largest Real-name system Social Network Sites currently. Its’features is representative. The analysis of characteristics includes three aspects:medium, content and users. First of all, the analysis of medium introduced the function sets of the site:the features of mobile phone media and the function sets of the site how to influence the process of information sharing. Secondly, the author used the method of sampling analysis to research the content:sampled some topics of conversation in "hot searching list" on Renren and classified them, then summarized the categories of content what were easy to be shared by users. Finally, study is about the users. The author interviewed the users and analyzed the features of their psychology and behavior when they use of Renren. In addition, in view of the situation that the rise of micro-blog has certain impact on Social Networking Sites, the author has done detailed analysis about the differences between Renren and Sina micro-blog. This analysis mainly included two angles that the network type of service and the relationships of social network.
