Along with the development of shipping industry, the marine radar simulator has been highly affirmed by the global shipping industry for improving the seaman radar operation and application skills, decreasing accidents and saving training cost. However, the radar echo image of current simulator compared with the real radar, there is still a gap in the physical realism, environment realism and behavior realism.At present radar image simulation technology mostly based on the display terminal simulation, mainly in geometric modeling technology, which is characterized by the image, intuitive, fast processing speed, although can get dynamic echo image, but ignore the technical indicators of radar sensor(transceiver and antenna) in the simulation. System modeling and simulation technology plays an important role in many fields, but it’s not well applied in simulation of marine radar echo image. In2012, Liu Yanqi through in-depth study and research the modeling and simulation of system theory and radar sensor, established the mathematical model of radar sensor, and radar echo images generated by the correlation algorithm. But the radar echo image just only is anchored, this paper aims to simulate the radar echo image based radar sensor modeling when ship underway. In this paper, the key work involves:1. According to the system modeling and simulation theory, perfected the radar sensor mathematical model, established mathematical model of electromagnetic wave propagation and radar cross section fluctuation model;2. According to the mathematical model and the ship typical sailing state, designed correlation algorithm;3. Used correlation algorithm to simulated the dynamic radar echo images.
