Television documentary is an important carrier of the cultural transmission, while 《A Bite Of China》 has set a new benchmark of all the Chinese television documentary film. Nowadays, with media forms of TV art developping and being diversified quickly, the people-oriented spirit in our TV show is increasingly coming out and the documentary would become the best medium of humanistic care.Concept of humanistic care means the maintenance, pursuit and concern of the dignity, value of our human beings, the respect of various cultural phenomena, the overall building of a comprehensive development of ideal personality. China’s documentary with the concept of "humanistic care" is developing gradually in recent years, reflecting the rich cultural connotation of Chinese television documentary.The TV documentary 《A Bite Of China》 as a food documentary, it tells a story, describes Chinese people and their lives, human is the core of the documentary.From the perspective of communication studies, this paper analyses the famous TV documentary 《A Bite Of China》 as an example to carry on the interpretation of the humanistic care, to explore how the humanistic care communicates with its audiences from the transmission content, mode of transmission and so on. Not only analyzing the example mode, this paper also gives us some thinkings about the secret of its success, so as to provide reference for the development of documentary in our country in the future.
