The Research On Network Community Knowledge Organization System

Along with the rapid development of modern information technology and the popularity of the Internet, the way people communicates is undergoing profound changes,more and more people begin to use a variety of social networking platforms such as QQ, MSN, E-mail, Blog, BBS, etc. As this happens, frequent communications gradually forms many network collections based on individual interests and common information needs, these collections are also called network community. Network community is a new community form, users use it as an important platform to access, integrate, exchange and transmit knowledge, it characterized by rich, complex knowledge and dynamic change. Although at present knowledge organization systems like classification organizations systems could meet the requirement of network community knowledge organization, it also has some drawbacks, such as low precision of users’knowledge, imperfect knowledge classification and reveal and so on. These problems have seriously hindered users from finding, accessing, sharing and using knowledge. The emergence of new knowledge organization system can make up these problems and deficiency of the present network community knowledge organization, so that we can form a rather complete knowledge organization system based on the anastomosing of the tradition system and the new system, finally so as to promote the development of the network community knowledge organization system.The paper is divided into five chapters. The chapter I introduces the background and significance of the chosen topic, as well as the domestic and foreign research status on this topic; Chapter Ⅱ discusses the concept of network communities and knowledge organization, on this basis, we put forward the necessity and new requirements for network community knowledge organization; Chapter III analyzes the application status of traditional knowledge organization system in network communities, mainly using examples to show the effect of the network community knowledge organization based on the theoretical analysis, and it found that there are some shortcomings in it now, such as low degree of standardization in classification categories; Chapter Ⅳ discusses how to improve and perfect the knowledge organization system in network communities from three main aspects, including the improvement of the traditional knowledge organization system, the applicaion of the new knowledge organization in the network community like fo lksonomy, ontology and topic map and so on, and the anastomosing of the tradition system and the new system. We improve the network community knowledge organization system from the three aspects so as to form rather complete knowledge organization system to serve users in network community better; Chapter V is the summary and outlook part which makes the scientific, rational summary and outlook on the future development of the network community knowledge organization system, and we think network community knowledge organization system should develop towards the complete, normative and standardized direction.
