Along with the people living standard enhancement, People’s security consciousnessin their life and working environment has been increasing. Therefore, the wireless video monitoring system widely used in traffic, public security and family life because it’s intuitive, real-time, convenient and rich information. In short, the wireless video monitoring system gradually played an indispensable role in People’s Daily life. The traditional video monitoring system had some shortcomings, such as the inexpensive, poor reliability and short distance transmission, complex structure and so on. With the rapid development of computer network, image processing, electronic technology and communication technology until recent years, the embedded wireless video monitoring system overcomed the deficiency of traditional video monitoring system.In this paper, according to the design requirements of wireless video monitoring system, combined with the embedded system technology, video codec technology and microwave transmission technology, it achieve a good real-time, high reliability, low cost wireless video monitoring system. The system uses the hardware solutions of collection chip and ARM processor, and use the video coding technology of MJPEG. The server software development platform is Linux operating system which is rich resources and open source. The system uses microwave transmission through TCP/IP network protocol and Web server HTTP transfer protocol. The client is developed based on the Windows operating system.High bandwidth based on the technology of microwave line-of-sight relay transmission super clear video surveillance transmission technology has been carried in this paper, including microwave transmission technology of access network technology, network technology, the relay technology. The entire microwave relay project designed, including several typical mode of transmission, through using802.11n technology in the design of entire video monitoring system hardware and software, the whole transmission network can provide the transmission rate of802.11n standard. In hardware design, in order to solve the problem that the traditional ARM chips computing speed cannot satisfy the code rate of the problem, this paper adopted the new dual-core DSP+MCU design to meet the requirements of the encoding of the whole system. In software design, this paper developed a client which can satisfy the customer remote monitoring control through the remote server to provide multiple remote monitoring customer service.In this paper, the design of wireless video monitoring system, with the characteristics of good real-time, high reliability, and high performance ratio, broadband access, has widely application value. At the same time, the key technologies of systematic design have certain reference value to engage in related research person.
