Charge Sensitive Preamplifier (CSP) studied in this thesis is an essential component in the detectors, and it serves to amplify the charge pulse signal from the sensor which detects kinds of radiation-rays.Detector is a kind of equipment used to observe and record the particles. It plays a very important role in the experiments of nuclear physics and particle physics. It analyzes data got by sensor, and draws out the track of particles after collision. Therefore, it is widely used in many fields, such as exploitation of nuclear energy, experiments of high energy physics.Charge sensitive preamplifier is an important block in the detector, which is used to make effective collection and record of signal from the sensor, and make it amplified, so its performance, such as gain, noise suppression, speed, and precision, makes great effect on the front-end circuits and the whole detector. In this thesis, the CSP used in the detector is researched and designed. First, principles and requirements of CSP are learned, and its general structure is provided. Second, each sub-circuit is designed and simulated. Two different topologies of CSPs are studied, with different operational amplifiers, the voltage feedback operational amplifier (VFOA) and the current voltage feedback operational amplifier. And the circuit is improved and optimized to achieve greater performance. By the comparison between their performances, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed and shown. And the end, the layout of analog integrated circuits is discussed. Using Cadence Virtuoso, we complete the design and optimization of the layouts. The key emphasis of this part is the matching of the layout. The result of simulation on performance tells that the CSP can meet the requirements of PUC. It can be used to make effective collection, record, and amplification of the charge signal. This thesis meets the needs of developing non-contact radioactive techniques. The charge sensitive preamplifier is designed using CMOS process, so this theis makes great significance to the realization of the fully-integrated charge sensitive preamplifier. It makes the detector with reduced-size, low-cost, high-precision, and non-contact.
