This paper describes the development of the radar receiver and the direction of modern radar receiver research. And a detailed theoretical analysis has been done which is about the K-band radar receiver overall structure and performance parameters. On this basis, the receiver used in the vehicle-mounted radar was made.Firstly, the study of low noise amplifier which is one of the key devices of the radar receiver has been done. And it described the low noise amplifier of various performance parameters and the relationship between them in details. On this basis, VMMK-1225low noise tube of Avago company was selected. By setting DC bias of the Single power supply. Noise optimum noise matching the input matching and the maximum gain match the input matching, it has designed the low noise amplifier working in24GHZ with ADS simulation software and the simulation optimization has also been done. Simulation and optimization results show that the low-noise amplifier can achieve good input and output matching and get higher gain in a smaller noise figure.Secondly, the working principle and various performance parameters of the mixer were discussed which is another key devices of the radar receiver. It has designed the single-balanced mixer working in24GHZ with ADS simulation software and the simulation optimization has also been done. Based on the analysis of the simulation, further study of the relationship between the performance parameters has been done.Finally, based on the understanding of the receiver structure and the working principle of the key devices, it designed a miniaturization receiver module working in24GHZ with integrated chip which is used in the automotive radar systems. And the receiver has been debugged. The results show that the receiver designed meets the requirements and has a certain value in use.
