Equivalent devices, which can simulate the input/output interface of real systems, are universally used in the process of developing complex electronic systems. When equivalent devices are used in different situations, they need to be in different states. In order to make one equivalent device to have multiple equivalent states, some configuration software is often needed to configure the features of the device to make it be capable of generating specifically required data. This thesis presentes the technologies used in a configuration sofeware for a equivalent device of some aerospace electronic system. Several aspects are studied in this paper:(1) For information security concerns, loging and user management function is integrated in the software. All the users are classified into two types, namely Administrators and Regular Users. Plain text files and SQLite local database are used to store user information.(2) Designing the signal editing GUI using MFC framework, and the configuration file format based on XML technology, the configuration software is implemented to have the capacity of editing, saving and loading all the signals the equivalent device can generate, including power source, analog signal, pulse and temperature measurement resistor. And the file transfer function is also implemented using technologies of socket and multi-thread.(3) After digging deeply into the1553B protocol, a straight forward interface is designed to configure the1553B parameters. It offers the way of configurations under both BC and RT modes. Meanwhile, a protocol is also designed to send the configuration data to the equivalent device.(4) In order to test the1553B communication interface of the equivalent device, a discussion of the design and implementation of a1553B testing terminal is presented in this thesis. In the implementation mentioned in this thesis, the testing terminal is developed using BU-65569i1PCI card and the SDK bundled with it.
