The development ofthe online travel industry is getting better and better, traditional tourism must berestructured. With the combination of the Internet is the most typical of the direction ofthe transformation, the traditional tourism can take advantage of a variety of tourismresources, build a good travel site.This article is to build an online hotel ordering system. Online hotel orderingsystem is a fundamental part of the travel site and the first step in developing onlinetourism. The system is based on Liferay Portal system. The Liferay system has rolepermissions management and plug-in development mode. The Liferay system is easy todevelop, maintain and upgrade. The system’s upgrade just need to continue to developsome new Portlet.This article analyzes the online tourism background, the feasibility and limitationsof the system, functional requirements. This article design the system from variousaspects of overall, the specific function module, database, error handling. Finally, carryout the detailed design and implementation of the system and test it using differentbrowsers on different operating systems. After repeated testing and modification, thefinal results show that the system is operating normally and can achieve the goals.
