A Study On Perfecting Publishing Activiyies In Vietnam Based On The Theory Of Public Policy

Books and publishing activity play an important role in the social life. From past to now, books, press and publishing activity has become the development motive force and the cultural criteria of each country, each ethnic group. Simultaneously, book is one of the tools for introducing and preserving the national culture, exchanging the culture among the countries, so that book and publishing activity have the large impacts on the social life.From when Ho Chi Minh President signed for approval (the Decree No.122/SL dated10/10/1952) of the establishment of National Publishing House and the offices to manage and directly print, publishing book, newspaper, document to now, undergoing60years of development, the publishing activity of Vietnam has had many important dedications in the work of constructing and developing the country.Although the publishing sector of Vietnam has gained the big achievement, in the process of development, it also faces up with many troubles and difficulties, particular, in term of organization form of the publishing house and national investment policy in promoting the development of publishing activity, etc. These problems lead to many challenges for the publishing activity of Vietnam and make the publishing activity of Vietnam backward in comparison with the society. Therefore, I choose the publishing activity of Vietnam as my research subject with the hope of contributing the recommendations for the development of publishing activity of Vietnam. It can not bring the practical benefits for the publishing industry but also match with the national development strategy of Vietnam.Based on the above thought, within the framework of the thesis, the thesis consists of4parts as follows:Part1-Overview some general theoretical policies related to publishing activity; Part2-Analyze the reality of publishing activity of Vietnam; Part3-Analyze the problems and short-term difficulties in publishing activity of Vietnam; Part4-Recommendations to complete the publishing activity of Vietnam.
