Stroke-segment-mesh Chinese character glyph describe method usesline-segment of the pre-defined length and direction as a glyphdescription element(stroke segment),it can describe the glyph selection ofall Chinese characters.Fewer effective elements of describing glyp andhigher rate of comparisom of calculation between glyphs,which are goodfor improving the accuracy and reliability of calculation,thanks to ahigher discrepancy degree between different Chinese characterstroke-segment-mesh glyphs.Because the method is only used in straightline-segment which describes Chinese character,the result is that there aremany extra sharp corners during describing glyph,and an important curveaesthetic characteristicsin Chinese character is missed, glyph display isnot beautiful.The paper have complited the following aspects of the workfor the problem:(1)According to a person’s cognition to Chinese character and thecharacteristics of stroke-segment-mesh model,the stroke type of gridglyph is divided into basic stroke,simple stroke and compound stroke;thebasic stroke is combined by the smallest unit(stroke segment),which isdivided into eight different types in accordance with different types ofstroke segment;The simple stroke is combined by basic strokesequences,which have Heng,Shu,Pie,Na four different types,Pie,Na aresubdivided into four types,for detailed describe the glyph difference ofthe same type of stroke.The compound stroke is combined by a particulartype of connected simple stroke sequence,according to the simple stroketype and linked method,which is subdivided into17types.Compound strokes do not fully cover all stroke types because of the complexity andvariety of strokes in grid glyph,as a result a combination strokeisproposed,which can describe more complex shape of strokes.Afteranalysis of the above-mentioned characteristics of each stroke type,storage structure of the stroke feature points and the algorithm of thecorresponding extract stroke key points are designed.(2)Combined with the human confignition of Chinesecharacters,design a human-computer interaction beautification algorithmof stroke-segment-mesh Chinese character stroke curve,the main idea ofthis algorithm:according to the type of stroke and stroke key pointsdesign a method that automatic juge the connected fold lines of thestrokes whether need curve description,if needed,adding an adjust pointon the straight line-segment which are on both sides of the turningpoint,and do corresponding tag handle to stroke starting point,turningpoint,additional adjustpoint point,then use cubic B-spline to describe thefold line-segment needing curve description.Users can dynamically adjustto the curve of aesthetic effect by moving the new adjust to point.Afterthe processing of the human-computer interaction,the grid glyph is in linewith the cognitive habits of Chinese character. Finally,storing the gridglyph after processing in font library perfect.(3) Name the stroke type of the strokes required curve description ingrid glyph,stroke types of same name due to the length of the straightline-segments in stroke randomly change,so the shape of same stroke typeis different.A design method in detail distinguish each stroke type and itbelongs to the type of curve stroke.Training set of stroke-segment-meshglyph is exacted from glyph font described by stroke-segment-meshmode,on the basis of the above algorithm.Users adjust to the trainingglyph make them more beaufification,and record the fit point locationinformation of the different curve stroke type that are belongs to the samecurve stroke type.Calculate the fit point location features of the samecurve stroke type by statistical method,designe an Stroke Curve Beautification Algorithm of Stroke-segment-mesh Glyph of Based onStatistics by using the location information of adjust points;The method ishigh efficiency and good effect of dealing with large quantities of meshglyph.(4)Accordance with the requirement of the True Type font format,extract the g-lyph information of mesh glyph and store in the TrueTypefont, make mesh glyph like the standard font which can be used in MSOffice Software.The above work make stroke-segment-mesh glyph show more in linewith the congnitive habits of the Chinese characters;The mesh glyph afterbeautify dealig contain more glyph information,from whitch can easyextract the skeleton information,so the beautifying glyph having higherefficence in comparion to computing between glyphs and componentsextracted analyse.
