The Rural Public Culture—"Farmer’s Bookstores"Sustainable Development Research

The problem of "country, peasants and agriculture" is the major issues of restricting China’s economic and social development, improvement of rural public cultural construction and public cultural facilities is the fundament of promoting rural development. The construction of "Farmer’s bookstores" is an important aspect of rural public cultural system construction, which promotes the healthy and sustainable development of the new socialist countryside spiritual civilization and material civilization toward faster and better, and provides powerful intellectual support for countries to build a moderately prosperous society in2020."Farmer’s bookstores" is a new and dynamic development body. The project of "Farmer’s bookstores", from the construction, development to maturity, will need a relatively long process, and, on the road of sustainable development, will certainly emerge many new problems, this problems require us to resolve and eliminate the subjective and objective factors that are not conducive to the development of the "Farmer’s bookstores", explore and establish a set of long-term management system and operation mechanism which make the development of "Farmer’s bookstores" sustainable. It will also be far-reaching impact and significance for new rural culture construction.This study includes five parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the "Farmer’s bookstores" research background, present situation and research purpose and meaning. The second part introduces the public culture, the basic concept of "Farmer’s bookstores" and sustainable development. The third section traces the developmental process of the rural library since the founding of New China and reform and opening up, and introduces the current situation of "Farmer’s bookstores". The fourth part summarizes the main problem of "Farmer’s bookstores" construction in process. The fifth part is the focus of this study, this part, according to the problems existing in the "Farmer’s bookstores", explore the sustainable development of "Farmer’s bookstores". The content mainly includes the measures of government strengthening the guidance and management, formulating relevant legal policy, establishing the mechanism of management and the funding and book updating, establishing a "network Farmer’s bookstores".
