With development of Inmarsat technology and business, Governments and Shipping enterprises take more attention on Shipping Security and Telecommuniction and raise more reqirement in especially telecommunication at sea. More and more commercial satellite operators are involved in ocean telecommunication as well. Inmarsat has been making deep reaserch and develop on International Marine Satellite Telecommunication System to fulfil the request from customers in the world.In2006, Inmarsat lauched Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) service successfully which comply with3G telecommunication standard and MCN have to build Beijing LAS. LAS is a completed system which related to terristral interface link to telecom network, satellite interface and switching part. The thesis is focus on RF and anttena subsystem in the LAS, including the parts from IF to antenna. The content is divided into whole system design, antenna subsystem design, RF subsystem design, Chain detecting&monitoring system and computer centre control system.Major consideration in the overall system design is the constraints of satellite transponders and land side modem, the application of the frequency offset compensation in maritime satellite communication is studied. Meanwhile, the capacity design of the system is also one need to focus on areas of concern, both as possible to meet the business needs, leaving the necessary capacity, at the same time consider the cost savings.In the antenna subsystem design, focusing on the C/L feed share issue; In present, no more research in C/L-Band shared. In order to meet the overall system performance, feed design must be followed innovation in the structural design, port isolation and network design.To meet the system has come into operation and maintenance needs, the paper design combined with relevant experience of foreign stations, focusing on the link detection and monitoring systems research and design, improve the system operation and maintenance of automation and information.
