Along with the high-speed increment of the social information, the requirement of information visibility is expanding sharply. Simultaneously, the top level visibility is becoming more and more difficult Single-display-screen devices are far beyond the requirement of the market, especially for some Monitoring Centers, Directing Centers and Scheduling Centers, the Patched Wide-Screen Display System that projecting from back has become the indispensable kernel basic of information visibility system. But, it is difficult to extend the application because the price of the high-performance display wall is too expensive. However, with rapid development of the graphics media processors, the large tiled display wall system based on network is so powerful that it can meet the requirements of high-resolution display, with high performance and low price.The thesis mainly researched the architecture of our large tiled display wall based on network and key technologies in our system. This system uses the C/S structure, in which the computers splicing the big screen server as the server, while the computer which console the system server as the client. Client captures the screen by blocks, using the multi-threaded programming and API provided by DirectX, and compresses the data of each block by deflate algorithm and sends them to the corresponding port through TCP protocol. Each server decompresses the data it receives. and restores the image to screen synchronously.This thesis. firstly, briefly introduces the basic information of the large tiled display system. Secondly, it describes functions and requirements of this system and the related technology. Thirdly, the thesis demonstrates the feasibility of the design. And then, this thesis shows a detailed introduction of the whole system’s design and implementation. At last, it summarizes the entire work, and describes the prospects of its future work.
