Along with the development of ultraviolet detection technology, more efforts areput on the research activities on spectrum scattering characteristic of object in theultraviolet band. Based on the Bidirectional Reflectance Distributional Function (BRDF)five-parameter semi-empirical statistical model and applying the optimization algorithmof the biological immune network theory, this paper has done research on the BRDFparameter inversion of the typical samples in UV band and BRDF model parameters,RMS residuals were obtained. A parallel between the differences of parameter valuesimulation, computational accuracy and calculation duration conducted by usingartificial immune network genetic algorithm(AINGA) and genetic simulation annealingalgorithm(GSAA) were drew. By improving BRDF five-parameter semi-empiricalstatistical model and introducing the approach to taking bulk scattering and retroreflection at BRDF modeling into account, BRDF seven-parameter semi-empiricalstatistical model was built and the two models of calculation accuracy and computationtime were compared according to different incidence wavelengths. Ultraviolet spectrumBRDF values of the sample surface were measured and AINGA and BRDFseven-parameter semi-empirical statistical model were used to fit part samples of theultraviolet spectrum BRDF values. Comparisons were made between the values ofexperimental measurement and the simulation results. Based on RCS target modelingboundary element method, a target modeling approach in the calculation of the targetspectral radiance was established. According to the related theories of the complicatedtarget light radiation and using fitting ultraviolet spectrum BRDF results, the ultravioletspectrum scattering brightness of the space target was calculated. Effects on the targetUV spectrum scattering brightness such as material, scattering angle, attitude, etc. wereanalyzed. Considering the earth’s atmosphere background radiation, the signal-to-noiseratio of ultraviolet spectrum scattering brightness and background radiation brightnesswas computed. These kinds of researches can be widely applied in the study ofattack-defense, target detection, warning, etc.
