Recently, with the rapid development of Internet and multimedia technology, digital audio signals become much easier to transmit, at the same time, the illegal edit, copy and distribution of audio data also become more and more easy, and a large number of authors’ and publishers’intellectual property copyrights have suffered from violation, which lead to huge damage of their benefits in many applications. Copyright protection and content authentication of digital audio products have become a hot issue. As an effective solution, digital audio watermarking technology is paid extensive attention by researchers at home and abroad and becomes an international academic focus.Firstly, based on the audio watermarking technology, the research background, significance and basic theory of audio watermarking and the current research at home and abroad are introduced in this paper. This paper devoted to designing audio watermarking algorithm for content authentication, the main work is given as follows:(1) Up to now, many previous fragile audio watermarking schemes adopt binary images as watermarks, which reduce the security of watermarking systems. In addition, the method of embedding strength fixation cannot take full advantage of the redundant information of the digital audio signal, thus the performance of watermarking system cannot be optimal. A new self-adaptive semi-fragile audio watermarking scheme based on SVD (Singular Value Decomposition) is proposed in this paper. This scheme combines DWT (Discrete Wavelet Transform) and SVD and based on audio content to generate the watermark information, and combines the characteristics of SVD and audio to achieve embedding strength adaptive. Experimental results show that the proposed audio watermarking scheme is not only robust against common attacks such as low-pass filtering, noise adding, but also robust against various attacks based on StirMark platform. Moreover, it can detect and localize the tampered regions effectively.(2) A new fragile audio watermarking. scheme based on SVD is proposed. The generation of fragile watermark is based on SVD and audio content. The generated fragile watermark is embedded in the hybrid domain composed by SVD and DCT, and16bits synchronization code is used as synchronous mark. Experimental results show that the scheme is applicable to many types of audio. It is not only inaudible and sensitive against low-pass filtering, noise adding, etc, but also fragile to malicious modification. Moreover, it can detect and localize the tampered regions effectively, especially to cutting and inserting sample values.
