Since World War Ⅱ, the focus of museum research has changed from "the collection itself” to "the collection and utilization". Museum audience research has been fast developed and become a hot spot in current Western Museum research area. With the social and economic development, the museums in China have achieved the considerable progress, not only in collection quantity, but also in exhibition approaches; meanwhile, they are trying to do the useful attempt in exhibition features and museum categories. However, the museum audience research development in China is lagging behind, and it has restricted the development of museums. Museum audience research can be widely used in museum activities, and it can provide the correct lead for development of the Museum. Through the audience research, we can understand the audience, meet their requirement, lead their needs, take the oriented action in exhibition and marketing development, so as to realize the win-win of the social and economic benefits.In this paper, I focus on JianChuan Museum-the largest private museum in China, I used questionnaires and statistical analysis for data collection and analysis on the audience of JianChuan Museum. On the basis of data analysis, we make the summarize, conclusion and propose targeted solution on the audience figures which reflect phenomena and problems, We also hope our research and data collection could be the reference for the future research, and help in-depth, wide range of further museum audience research in China.
