Traditional X-ray attenuation imaging technology is difficult to form images for weakabsorption materials, and it cannot identify the subtle structures of precision mechanical andelectrical products owing to its inherent low resolution. X-ray grating-based imaging using aconventional X-ray tube can provide attenuation, phase and dark field information of thesample simultaneously, providing superior contrast for soft tissues compared to conventionalX-ray imaging. But the attenuation information obtained has not been analysis in-depth atpresent, the research of X-ray grating-based imaging is still in the laboratory stage at homeand abroad, and the study model is limited to extract specific information alone to formimages respectively according to their physical causes. This project will further study X-ray grating imaging physical mechanism, analyze theirmutual influence and noise characteristics among attenuation, phase contrast and dark fieldinformation, try to develop the high quality attenuation image to high precision testing fieldfor thin weight absorption materials. Furthermore, study the correlation characteristics ofthrees kinds of information of attenuation, phase contrast and dark field, use image splicingand fusion technology to realize large dynamic range and high resolution imaging detectionfor objects which contain a variety of light and heavy materials, such as bones and tendons, teeth and gums, chip pin and basement. The research results will lay a solid theoretical andexperimental foundation for the practical use of this new X-ray imaging technique, and try toexpand the technology to industrial applications.
