People hope for higher and higher quality of video equipment with the life im-proving and development of science and technology. Displayer must have completely countermeasures and performance which is external reasons about image display qual-ity along with the overall environment changes. The traditional TV system can’t meet people’s demands, flat panel display TVs is replacing CRT TVs and becoming the main-stream in the market with progress of flat panel display technology these years. This paper studies conversion technology of interlaced scanning to progressive scanning in display technology field.First of all, we introduced the development and evolvement of de-interlacing al-gorithm and the Current research status, explained the basic knowledge of digital video processing and described the background and theoretical basis of de-interlacing algo-rithm. Secondly, the key introduction and analysis about the principle of de-interlacing algorithm has been given in this paper, taking the motions as weights and combin-ing classic methods of inter-field interpolation and intra-field interpolation, this de-interlacing algorithm is space-time interpolation which is combining the advantages of time-domain and spatial interpolation, then we made more thorough discussion and research on the core problem (motion detection) of de-interlacing, having improved the motion detection methods through reference continuous field information, using morphology and low-pass filtering methods to process the results of motion detection for improving the accuracy of motion detection. In addition, the paper also puts for-ward fuzzy motion detection method, using fuzzy logic computational operation on the results of motion detection for improving the robustness of motion detection. At last, we introduced optimization steps about de-interlacing algorithm and got in-depth discussions on some steps and realized the optimization on DM6467DSP platform.
