Information literacy is the basic requirements of the information age on citizens; and the basic requirements of learning society and lifelong learning on contemporary college students; also the basic requirements of the information age and education infonnatization on teachers. Normal students in college have a triple identities, modern citizen, contemporary college students and the future teachers. Paying attention to the normal education, improving the information literacy of normal students in university is the important issues currently.The paper, based on the information age, took the theory research on information literacy and normal students’information literacy as the starting point. It took the empirical datas, which are in accordance with the investigation on present situation of normal students’information literacy in Hubei universties as the support. It took the countermeasure of improving the normal students’information literacy in hubei univesties as the foothold.The paper comprised five chapters. Chapter1introduced the research background, research purposes, meaning, research ideas and methods. Chapter2was about definitions which is the theoretical foundation for later research. Based on the in-depth study of the status quo at home and abroad, the author put forward the new definition of information literacy and normal students’information literacy, attaching to intuitionistic figures, which has clear breakthroughs and innovation. Chapter3analyzed the current situation and problems of normal students in Hubei universties and conculuded the factors which affect their information literacy level through interview and questionnaire method, and using SPSS and Excel to analyse data. Chapter4was based on the results of chapter3, proposeing the countermeasure of normal students’information literacy accoding to actual situation in our province. The countermeasure has three levels, macro-view, middle-view and micro-view Chapter5briefly summarized the research work, pointed out the innovation and inadequate points, and stated the consideration and direction for further study.
