In this paper, We analyzes the infrared radiation characteristics of the target and existing test theory. There are two characteristics of optical target:Emissivity and infrared polarization characteristics and test analysis. In the testing of emissivity, established the emissivity measurement models of target, and measure the emissivity by changing the environment radiation. This method after experimental verification, with high accuracy and from the exposure temperature on the goal itself. In the infrared polarization test, First analysis of polarization properties of target, show that the polarization information is different from the information of radiation that characterized target.Artificial and natural target have different polarization characteristics effect on light.The polarization of artificial objects are great because they have unnatural smooth surface.Instead,the polarization of natural background are small with surface roughness.Therefore put forward the concept of the degree of polarization contrast of target and background,that is comparison of the polarization degree of target with background.By experimental measurements to compare the contrast of polarization degree and intensity degree of target and background,the results show that the contrast of polarization degree of target and background has a high recognition accuracy in target recognition and with a good stability.To design the software for test the contrast of polarization and intensity degree of target and background.On two kinds of target characteristics were tested,the measurement results are analyzed in detail,and show that the method adopted in this paper to meet the accuracy requirements,the system design is simple,reliable performance,practicality.
