With the implementation and popularization of Digital Oilfield, well sites had made arapid progress in networked, digitized and intelligent aspects. The main principle of them isthe real-time surveillance. Wide distribution and poor environment were taken into account inDingbian Oil Production Site when studying the real-time survcillancc technology at well sites.And then, Surveillance System based on Digital Oilifeld Tcsl and Research Projcct would bedesigned to realize unmanned on duty for well sites, satisfy the needs of Digital Oilifeld andpromote the management level for oilfield production safety.Surveillance requirements, given by Digital Oilifeld Demonstration Area, weresystcmically analyzed an the basis of oil recovery production technology and the features ofwell sites. Thus the design schcmc of Surveillance System wa.s proposed, including Well-siteSystem, Communication System and Monitoirng Center. Wcli-sitc System, the corc beingIntelligent DVS (Digital Video Server) and RTU, was designed for collecting the real-timedata, which were IransmiUed lo Monitoirng Center by point-to-multipoint communicationbased on wireless bridge. Atfer analyzing the video formats’ effect for system, the model ofcomplex background image was built and maintained with Mixture Gaussian Model, and themoving targets of well sites were recognized by Background Subtraction, and then the systemwould detect moving objccts and alarm automatically.Through the reseacrh on the real-time surveillance technology at well sites, it has realizedthe functions of collecting, transmitting and displaying the well site parameters datarcat-timclyi arid alarming real-timely once moving objccts occur at well sites. There is nodoubt that its application has replaced ’mans patrol, established the supervision of productionprocess, and reifned the control of the production chain.
