The paper starts with the improvement of load balancing algorithm. Based on discussing the shortcuts of previous algorithms and the superiorities of improved algorithm, the paper focuses on the following several aspects:Firstly, in order to solve the problem of server performance’s bottleneck, the paper analyzes server cluster technology and its characteristics in detail. According to its features, using server cluster can not only deal with the performance limit caused by increase of users’ number and expansion of network flow, but also cut down the cost significantly. Compared with single server, the cluster system can improve server environment and has better feasibility and stronger robustness.Secondly, the paper executes a deep research on principle of load balancing technology, existing technologies and algorithms. Based on the IP tunnel load balancing technology and weighted least-connections algorithm, the paper proposes an improved load balancing algorithm based on dynamic feedback and weighted least-connections algorithm. Also, the paper provides the algorithm description and flow chart. Combining load variation with weight adjustment of servers, the algorithm tries to distribute resource and load reasonably.Lastly, the paper conducts related programming and experiment which verifies correctness and superiority of improved algorithm. Comparing with Least-Connections Algorithm and Weighted Least-Connections Algorithm, the improved algorithm has better effect on system throughtput and request response time. |
