The virtual instrument is a computer data acquisition and signal processing system constructed with requires of instrument. It is a smart digitized system with data acquisition control analysis and display function software function as the core and the support of the necessary electronic hardware. By the development of software features, and improve all the features of traditional instruments instead of the original. Through the development of software features.it will completely replace all the features of the original traditional instruments. Today, the automation system increasing demand and the rapid change of demand makes the measurement and control system requires more intelligent and intensive that increasing difficulties of the design of the virtual instrument. To face of such a demand, the current direction of the virtual instrument development has made the appropriate changes: higher integration, more automation, more powerful information processing capabilitiesIn this article, we are going to design a secondary development of new low-cost virtual instrumentation system based on the concept of virtual instrumentation and design ideas to achieve the test for industrial-grade control and monitoring functions. The virtual system is based on the total linear topological structure, using the custom communication protocol to realize the communication tasks between hardware module and PC. Software formed by using configuration model construction principle, through the system state description method for the design to combine the virtual equipment library function and logic execution module to realize the virtual instrument system structure. And we provide the specific algorithm function of the priority of time-sharing execution. Design use the COM software technology to link between the MFC framework model using C++and Labview platform using the view of language. This paper also makes specification on the system including hardware and software function and design a set of simple integrated probe module and power module. Finally we use the virtual system to realize the inverter performance of full automatic test system. Through the experiment, it can show that the system has a good integration, high intelligence and the characteristics of real-time and low cost.
